Speaker

Louis Rosenberg, PhD
CEO & Chief Scientist at Unanimous AI
As CEO & Chief Scientist of Unanimous AI, Louis Rosenberg leads the charge in developing Collective Superintelligence, a paradigm that harnesses AI to amplify the collective wisdom of human groups, inspired by the swarm intelligence of bees and fish. His career began at Stanford, NASA, and the Air Force Research Laboratory, where he created the Virtual Fixtures platform—the first functional mixed reality system—in the early 1990s.
In 1993, he founded Immersion Corporation, a VR pioneer that went public on NASDAQ in 1999, and later established Outland Research, an AR innovator acquired by Google in 2011.With a PhD from Stanford in robotics and human-computer interaction, Rosenberg has amassed over 300 patents in VR, AR, and AI, reflecting his relentless drive to push technological boundaries. His tenure as a tenured professor at California State University (Cal Poly) saw him teach engineering and entrepreneurship, shaping the next generation of innovators.
Since 2014, Unanimous AI has been his platform to explore Swarm AI, a technology that fuses real-time human input with AI algorithms to achieve remarkable outcomes—outpredicting experts in domains like sports, finance, and medicine. Studies with Stanford and MIT validate its potential, showing significant improvements in group decision-making and diagnostics.Rosenberg is also a thought leader, authoring Our Next Reality (2024) to explore AI and the metaverse’s future, and serving as Chief Scientist of the Responsible Metaverse Alliance.
